What did we do?
Food seekers arrived early for some free food even before we were ready to serve! :P

As soon as the registration counter opened, people started queuing up, eagerly waiting to be served by our well-dressed committee.

The crowd was huge and it was up to our line of waiters and waitresses to fill those hungry stomachs. :)

I’m sure everyone enjoyed the delicious food.

Just look at those smiling faces… :D

Towards the end of the night, there were leftovers. So, we ended up offering second rounds and even takeaways! Haha.

However, before the night ended, we had a surprise for a special someone in the committee. On that day itself, the 3rd of June, was our President’s birthday!!!

So, we celebrated Miss Su Yiin’s birthday along with some ex-committee.

The night ended with smiles on our faces…

Makan-Makan Night was the last event for Semester 1, but if you have missed it, fear not! We have another line-up of events for Semester 2. See you next semester! ;)

Report: MSO Movie Night

Who organised it? MSO
When was it? 20th May 2011, Friday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm
Where was it held? Law 202, Law Building, UNSW
How many people attended? Approx. 30
How much did it cost? Free for all!
What did we do?
Everyone arrived between 5.30pm to 6pm and we were all excited to watch the movie that was about to be shown, “The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines” a.k.a. “Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa”. Before the movie started, music was played, while those who came early mingled around.

Then, at around 6pm, the lights were turned off as the movie started. Everyone became quiet all of a sudden, as we were all trying to concentrate on the movie.

The movie started with an introduction of Merong Mahawangsa, who coincidentally met a Roman Prince, who was rather very fond of him. Then, he was asked to go on a voyage to escort the prince to Langkasuka, where he will meet his wife-to-be, the Princess of China. After that….wait, wait, wait…I’ll be spoiling the story if you haven’t watched it! Hee.

Anyway, all I can say is that the movie is a combination of romance, action and comedy, all blended into one. There were moments where we all laughed, almost cried and felt heartbreaks. Most of the time laughed, though..because there were some who laughed every now and then (don’t know why) at every random parts of the movie..that made the rest of us laugh along with them as well. Haha.

Well, we hope all of you who came enjoyed the movie as much as we at MSO did!
It surely was enjoyable for me! :D

However, if you have missed your chance of watching the movie with us, go watch it now! It’s a movie worth watching! :)
And remember to join us for our next event, Makan-Makan Night!
Who can resist free food, right? ;P
