The Annual Sports Carnival

Dear Members,

This is the time where most sportsman/woman will enjoy the most. The annual Sports Carnival. So, for those who would like to represent MSO to play in the Sports Carnival, you will have to try out for the sports.

The Annual Sports Carnival will be held on the 5th and 6th of April, where football is on the 5th at Moore Park and other sports will be held on the 6th at the Sydney University Sports and Aquatic Centre.
This is a competition against the 3 Malaysian Societies in Sydney. (i.e MASA, MSA and also SUAMS)

This is the important bit, to those who are interested in one of the six sports please contact Bryant or Mei Jiun via email or phone, where they will organise the first tryouts that is expected to be this weekend.

So, come and try out. you might get a chance to represent NSW for the Annual National Games and Conference that is held in Brisbane this year!

Welcome Back Members!

Dear MSO members,

Welcome back to Uni life!

Here’s the low-down on what’s happening within MSO:-

• Drop by the MSO stall during O-Week and Week One to renew your
membership! Our stall will be located at the lawn in front of the
Newton Physics Theatre from 10am to 4pm, all two weeks! The first 5
people to sign up each day on O-Week will receive goody bags.

• Renewal fees are only $5 and we are intending to bring you bigger
and better events to make it worth your while! Plus, our list of
sponsors just gets longer and longer.

• Our new sponsor- 100 Plus- has made us a point of distribution for
UNSW. If you would like to purchase cartons of 100 Plus cans, please
ask us for more information at our stall! MSO Members will be able to
purchase 100 Plus drinks at a discount.

• Recent changes with the student body, Arc and VSU have rendered
certain changes to the way clubs and societies are run in UNSW. To
join MSO, you would have to be a member of Arc or pay a small
administrative fee. To find out more, please approach us at our stall!

• If you enjoy the Pasar Malam event last year, please put your faith
in us and ask about the fantastic events we have lined up this year
for you including the futsal league, Mamak night, paintball and many
more!

So come over to our stall and sign up, and we’ll ensure a great,
exciting year for MSO members in 2008!
